Simple mail notification like github or any others systems

Hi,

There is in my opinion a missing feature in Rhodecode, an integrated mail notification after push like we get on github, gitlab or sourceforge.
There is something in the doc about mail notification but it's not clear to me and doesn't really seems to do the job. The mail should contain the colored diff and a link to the commit and should be integrated in Rhodecode.

Best regards,
Alexis.

    Hi Alexis,

We have an email plugin in our extensions system. We're currently also working on creating a simple email template to generate on each push, i'll keep you posted when we're going to release that to test if you wish to participate.

    Best,

    Hi Marcin,

I'm definitely interested to test, I guess my colleagues also. As it is a plugin it's not clear to me if I will need to setup some python virtual env or it will directly work with our RhodeCode 3.5 setup?

    Best regards,
    Alexis.

    Hi Alexis,

It would be part of rcextensins, which works just with 3.5 installation without a need of virtualenv setup.

Thanks, indeed, in the doc it's written that rhodecode tools are integrated since 3.5.0.
I tested it, it's ok I got some troubles because I wasn't pointed directly that I need to create a .rhoderc file and in the example it's weird the given command is :
    rhodecode-extensions --instance-name=enterprise-1 \
    --ini-file=rhodecode.ini --plugins

    Shouldn't it be:
    rhodecode-extensions --instance-name=enterprise-1 \
    --ini-file=path-to-instance/rhodecode.ini --plugins

Yes that's true, thanks for pointing that out, we'll improve the docs in that section.

    Best,
