Rename the build-in admin account?

I would like to know the best way change the default admin account. I'd also like to know if changing the admin account will impact anything internally for making this change?

Do you mean the admin account that you created during installation ? If yes, then simply you can rename it to anything you like it's a regular user created with admin flag.

Yes, I believe it's the account under the username "root". We just want to rename it to fit our naming standards and we want to make sure that if we rename the user, it won't affect anything internally to the rhodecode/mercurial application.

There's no problem in renaming this account.

In order to keep our support system clean and improve our response time to the open tickets, I will now close this support ticket. Of course, if you still have questions regarding this issue you may reopen this ticket at your convenience.
