    Hi,

    The error is caused by missing port parameter inside vcsserver.ini file, do you have this file ? does it have a port=NUMER set there ?

    In 4.4.2 supervisor.ini, I had modified the command line with this:
    command = /home/rhode/.rccontrol/vcsserver-1/profile/bin/gunicorn --error-logfile=- --paster=/home/rhode/.rccontrol/vcsserver-1/vcsserver_http.ini

    I did that following your documentation :
    https://community.rhodecode.com/t/new-high-performance-http-backend/71

    But there was still a vcsserver.ini file in the vcsserver-1 directory and it contained the following:
    [server:main]
    ## COMMON ##
    host = None
    port = None

    Hence the error I was seeing.

    So it seems to me that the "--paster" switch is not considered anymore by the supervisor. It seems to me that it is now always using the vcsserver.ini file no matter what.

    I ended up copying my vcsserver_http.ini into vcsserver.ini and it now works! Thank you!

    I'm still using this command in supervisor.ini and I'm wondering if it is necessary:
    command = /home/rhode/.rccontrol/vcsserver-1/profile/bin/gunicorn --error-logfile=- --paster=/home/rhode/.rccontrol/vcsserver-1/vcsserver.ini

    Hi Louis,

    Partially it's our fault since we wrote instructions instructing to use vcsserver_http.ini

    Since 4.5.X http mode is on by default, I'd recommend removing self_managed_supervisor = True from .rccontrol.ini, then if you run rccontrol self-stop && rccontrol self-init the supervisord config will be rebuild with new values.
